I am a Canadian photographer of Indian origin. I have covered post-conflict and social-issue stories with a geopolitical slant in Canada, India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and the U.S.
My work has been published in The New York Times, TIME, The Guardian, CNN, Al Jazeera, The Globe and Mail, Report on Business magazine, The National, Caravan, and Doctors Without Borders / MSF, among others.
I have received three grants from Pulitzer Center, along with my colleague Michael Hayden, to report on India’s health care crisis, Heroin Epidemic in Northern India and HIV/AIDS awareness among the Transgender community in Tamil Nadu,India.
I am currently based in France.
